I am giving a testemonial for Karen the Organizer. My walk in closet at home needed some serious attention. The organizing system we had up on the walls in the closet had started to fall off, and I didn't know where to start with redoing it. I had Karen come meet me at my house for an initial consultation. She had so many good ideas for organizing not only my closet but other parts of the house as well. Some of her suggestions I've already implemented and the whole process is going to be much less expensive than I had expected. Just from talking to business owners at the Expo we picked up three new clients of which we have already completed one of the jobs. And, we made many new contacts as well. In addition, we have been able to win and satisfy the other new clients from the referrals that the Chamber has provided us in the short time we have been a member. One particular referral has been giving us on-going work since we completed the first job so things are really working out well.

Chamber Members and Friends:

Paul Hirsch, Principal of Paul Hirsch Professional Communications, took an idea I had for a 2008 promotional calendar and through his talent and hard work turned it into reality.

I love Danville, especially its history and traditions. I also knew of the historic photographs of the late Bill Hockins, a past chairman of the Danville Area Chamber. When I discussed this concept in broad terms with Paul, he immediately set a path to make it happen. Paul contacted Bill’s son, found a printer and a designer, wrote the captions and back cover, and shepherded the project through to completion.

The results exceeded my expectations. The calendar was very well received and has raised my profile and the profile of my insurance agency. Paul arranged newspaper and television interviews for me, and helped me distribute 5,000 calendars throughout the community. With the help of Paul Hirsch and blessing of the Hockins Family, I plan to produce another calendar for 2009.

Paul Hirsch Professional Communications helped create attention for a special event at my Talkin’ Baseball memorabilia store. The event was a financial success and helped raise the profile of Talkin’ Baseball.

On Dec. 21 Giants outfielder and San Ramon Valley High grad Nate Schierholtz made a personal appearance and signed autographs at my store. Paul publicized this as Nate’s return to Danville from a successful first season in the big leagues. Stories ran in the Times, the Valley Sentinel and the Danville Weekly. We also had radio announcements on KKIQ and KNBR, and Paul helped me develop material to send to my own mailing lists and display in our windows. Follow-up coverage in Diablo Magazine is expected.

As a result of Paul’s work, we had a steady stream of guests to meet Nate at the event, and we were able to show off our inventory of vintage baseball cards, autographed memorabilia, Pokemon cards, and logo items. I intend to avail myself of Paul’s services for future special events at Talkin’ Baseball.

I have had chronic back problems fro around 15 years. I always avoided chiropractic help for no sane reason. I was basically operating out of “contempt prior to investigation.” I finally succumbed to chiropractic care about two years ago with a visit to Dr. Pontious. I thought I had nothing to lose, so give it a try.

Since then, I have been relieved of my lower back problems, and have experienced renewed energy and remarkably good health. “What a wonderful trip!. My friend and I traveled from Cairo to Abu Simbal, cruised down the Nile and drove to Alexandria. Everyday was packed with wonders to behold. The trip was a walk back into history, starting with our visit to the Great Pyramids and ending with a tour through the new library of Alexandria, one of the modern wonders of the world. We rode camels, climbed steps into tombs, watched hot-air balloons soar over the Nile and wandered through Mosques and museums.

June is known for being the Wedding month. It’s no surprise that my special niece picked June 10 th. You can imagine how important hosting her Bridal Shower was to me. Naturally, I worked with Ria Sim of eventPro/Twigss. Over the last couple of years, she has worked on most of our major events. Her creativity is amazing and her integrity impeccable.

I was amazed at her attention to detail. My niece’s bridesmaid's dress was green so Ria tied this in beautifully with the paper lanterns to the bottled soda’s right down to the jelly beans. As you can see, the flower arrangements were gorgeous too! (Twigss). She transformed our backyard into an elegant and lovely affair. Working with Ria is such a pleasure and she exceeded my expectations!

I would like to share with you my discovery of Amber Bistro here in Danville. For quite some time I had driven by Amber Bistro with curiosity and the desire to stop in and try it out. Finally, back in January, I was able to do just that as Eric and Dawn Janssen, owners of Amber Bistro, hosted that month’s Danville Chamber mixer. I was so pleasantly surprised by not only the great atmosphere that was created there, but also by the delicious appetizers that were going around. I immediately sought out Eric and Dawn to compliment them on their restaurant. My branch manager and I were so impressed, that the very next day we went back for lunch. We both had a wonderful dining experience and have since taken several of our friends, co-workers and family members to Eric’s establishment. We also enjoy taking clients, prospects, and vendors to Amber Bistro on a regular basis. I thoroughly believe that if you are looking for great food coupled with impeccable service, Amber Bistro is a restaurant that you simply must try.
