President’s Remarks:

It is such a pleasure to be back at the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce,
having served as the Executive Director about ten years ago. I owe a debt of gratitude to Melony Newman for the success of today’s Chamber. It was very easy to come back and pick up where she left off. A very special thank you to Debra Long, our Office Manager for stepping up and
leading this organization in the interim.

I’m older and wiser and have really seen the day to day struggles of a small business owner being married to a restaurant owner. “Surviving the Big One” doesn’t mean an earthquake, rather it means staying in business over these last few tumultuous years. I now know more than ever, the day to day struggles a small business owner faces. We are all leaner and meaner and your Chamber is well aware of that fact.

Our priority is you, the member. I’m here on your behalf and so is our great team of Debra Long, Office Manager; Karen Lochner, Membership Director and Martha Levison, Events Coordinator. Let me know how I or your Chamber can assist you.

Working together with the great Town staff and elected officials, the Discover Danville Association and our members, we WILL continue to make the Danville area the best place to live, work and do business!
