Preparing For Next Year
To our valued Members,
It’s a wonderful time of the year with the seasonal changes. The leaves are beginning to change
color and the temperatures are a little cooler. It also means the holiday season is approaching, starting with Halloween for the children. Who doesn’t appreciate a little one dressed up as Cinderella or a cowboy?
This time of the year also means preparations for the following year at the Chamber. It is the time of year when we are seeking potential Board members. There is a rotation of members as they reach the end of their terms, therefore keeping a balance of experienced board members along with new board members each year. We seek individuals who are actively involved and have served on committees. If your goal is to be a part of our distinguished Board of Directors, please let me know. I can help guide you in that direction in the future. In addition, this is the time of year to think about individuals who stand out in the community. Did you know that during our installation dinner in February 2010, we recognize an Educator, Non Profit, Business person and Citizen of the year for 2009? Please watch for details on these awards and how they can be nominated. (See page 3 & 7)
Lastly, I hope you will think of our local businesses when making a gift purchase, sharing a meal or booking a company party. Our local businesses depend on it! Shopping and doing business locally has a positive impact on the economic vitality of our community.
Remember, together we can make a difference.
