Passing the Gavel

Dear Members,
This will be my final newsletter as your 2010 Chairman of the Board as I will shortly pass the gavel
to Kim Lindeberg our incoming Chair for 2011. It has been an honor, a privilege and quite a bit of fun to have served. This year also concludes my term as a Chamber board member. These six years have raced by faster than I could ever have imagined they would.
The Chamber experience has been an incredible one for me. I have met hundreds of wonderful people from the Danville Area. Melony and her staff have been phenomenal and a constant source of inspiration. I can’t thank them enough for their help and support. This year’s Board of Directors has been outstanding. They have risen to the challenge of growing membership and increasing networking opportunities which were the hallmarks of my annual theme,
“Maximize your Membership!”
We have been hard at work for you with Ribbon Cuttings, Street Fairs, Aloha Golf Tournament, Business Showcase, monthly mixers and so much more! Thank you to our Corporate Sponsors: Kenny Family Chiropractic and Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community, with our 19th annual Danville Fall Crafts Festival on October 23 & 24 in beautiful downtown Danville. On November 26th you are invited to attend our annual Lighting of the Old Oak Tree Event. It’s one of the biggest events of the Chamber year.
Thank you for making this a great year for me and the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce. I look forward to seeing you at our future events.
Joe
