New Year and New Beginnings

It’s a New Year and time for new
beginnings!

Our Board of Directors is an amazing group of professional business leaders from the community. Our 2009 Chairman of the Board, Chris Edlund is well connected in the community with her business and personal interests. She graciously gives back to many organizations and the Chamber is lucky to have her as the COB. She is a jewel.

I would like to thank Steve Wilcox with Summit Financial. He served three years on the board and spear headed the Marketing committee. It was his leadership that carried us through the 2008 changes on our website, logo and marketing collateral. Likewise, we are losing Karen Kehr with Smith Barney who made an incredible difference in Membership during her years on the Board. She had terrific fresh ideas and resuscitated our orientations. Thank you to Michael Barnard with Rakestraw books. He made numerous contributions while serving the last three years. We thank all three of them for their contributions and look forward to seeing them at future events as a valued Chamber members.

Lastly, a very special thank you to Diane Slater with First Republic Bank. Diane has recently served on the board for two terms, was COB in 2007 and has been a member since 1982. She is the epitome of elegance and professionalism.
