Maximize Your Membership

Last month I reiterated my annual theme “Maximize Your Membership” and promised to
elaborate on it over the course of my term of office. Did you know that the Chamber has added 18 new members since the beginning of the year? That’s a fantastic start to 2010. It’s also an opportunity for each of our existing members to make 18 brand new business contacts by attending Chamber functions. Many of our members maximized the value of their membership by attending our latest mixer at Diablo Country Club.

During the mixer we launched our new “Drive to Thrive” membership program. At Gayler Construction mixer, VC of membership Jonathan Watts handed out checks to four Chamber Members as part of the program. Now that’s a way to really “Maximize your Membership”. To learn more about the program, please see page 4.

Coming up quickly is our annual Fine Arts Street Fair held on June 19th and 20th. Soon after, you won’t want to miss our annual Aloha Golf Tournament on July 26th at Diablo Country Club. If you don’t play, no worries! Joe Buenavista and the committee have designed this year’s tournament to give non-golfers greater opportunities to be involved. The cocktail reception and dinner provide two more fabulous ways to network with our members. Just like a mixer-only bigger!

On May 13th, the next Mixer is at Patelco Credit Union. Please mark your calendar and invite a friend who might benefit from Chamber Membership. I would love to meet your friend. See you there!
