It Is Hard to Believe

The Chamber with the Golden Opportunities
It is hard to believe that I am writing my final newsletter during my term as Chairman of the board. The holiday season is beginning and the weather has turned cool.
This has certainly been a challenging year due to the economy. However, the Chamber has been consistently promoting business during this time. More than ever, your membership has been hard at work for you with Ribbon cuttings, 2 Street Fairs, Annual Golf Tournament, Annual Business Showcase and so much more!
I want to thank Dawn Janssen with Amber Bistro/Basil Leaf for chairing the October Fall Crafts Festival. We also want to thank our chamber member sponsors, Kenny Family Chiropractic and Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community for their generosity.
Not only does the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce help to promote your business ---we are also a great source of information about the community. Need a referral to a florist, jeweler, restaurant, or fitness gym? Are you interested in the many community events or non-profit organizations during the holidays? Contact the Chamber and we will be happy to assist you!
I hope to see you at the traditional Lighting of the Old Oak Tree on November 27th!
In finishing my term, I thank all the volunteers and staff who helped to make this a great year for me. The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is a great organization…………. With golden opportunities!
Thank you for your support of the D’elegance on September 27th!
Warmest Regards,
Chris Edlund
2009 Chairman of the Board
