Home Town Hero

To our valued Members,

It’s been an exciting new year so far. We have a new President of the United States promising change and hope for better economic times. We have a new Chairman of the Board
as well as a few new Board members. I look forward to working with Chris Edlund and the 2009 Board of Directors. They are an incredible group of leaders. Last but not least, we have a home town hero, Pilot “Sully” Sullenberger. The community is so proud of him and his heroic efforts which kept 155 people safe. What a proud moment for Danville!

I realize that these are very challenging times for people and businesses. Now more than ever, it’s important to do business locally. Our community would not look or be the same charming place without our local businesses. They need and depend on you. Likewise, your involvement and participation with the Chamber is important during these times. There are fellow members wanting to meet you and learn about your business. Besides, what a terrific value alone just being advertised on our website!

The marketing committee will continue to meet and move forward on updating collateral and marketing material. We thank the committee for their continued support and efforts.

Looking ahead, we will continue to find opportunities to help our membership and their businesses. We encourage you to attend mixers and events to meet your business community and make new friends. I’d love to hear from you ways that we can help you.

Make a new year’s resolution to be a part of the Chamber and watch your business grow.
