A Year of Change
New Beginnings….You, Your Business, Your Community
It is so fulfilling to be writing my final newsletter just as the fun holiday season begins. Not only is this the more prosperous times for retail business, restaurants, and business services, but all businesses look forward to the planning for the next year!
Although this has been a year of “change” in the economy, the Chamber has been successfully promoting business throughout the year. We have just performed ribbon cuttings for such locations as Savignon in Danville, Burke Williams Day Spa, Union Bank of California in Alamo, and Salon Forty Sixty Two. We encourage you to visit all the new members or drop them a note to introduce yourselves.
We thank Barbara Rogers of The Body Adventure for chairing the Danville Fall & Crafts Festival. We also need to thank our chamber member sponsors: Ultimate Security and Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community for their generosity. Not only does the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce help you to promote your business ---we are also a great source of information about the community. Need a quick guide to restaurants, spas, entertainment, or exercise? Want to get involved with the many community events or non-profit organizations during the holidays? Contact the Chamber and they will be happy to assist you!
As my year as Chairman of the Board closes, I thank all the volunteers and staff who helped to make this a great year for me. The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is a great organization…………. whether it is business, home, or community.
Warmest Regards,
Elaine Cortez Schroth
2008 Chairman of the Board
