Alamo Danville Artists' Society
About ADAS
The Alamo Danville Artists’ Society, founded in 1977, is a non-profit organization providing monetary contribution in support of art programs in the San Ramon Valley School District.
Our mission is to foster fine art appreciation and education within our communities, to provide the opportunity for artists to further their artistic development, and to support the school art programs through fund-raising.
Membership includes artists and patrons who appreciate the visual arts. ADAS regularly hosts distinguished and nationally known guest artists at the monthly meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our membership currently consists of over 200 professional and non-professional artists of all levels, including non-artists as well.

ADAS Philanthropy
Artists who sell their work in our art exhibits voluntarily donate a percentage of the sale of their artwork to our Art for the Schools program. The money in this fund is used to provide cash grants to our local schools, to be used to supplement their art programs.
This program invites the teachers and parent/docents from each school in the San Ramon Valley Unified School district to apply for a grant to be used toward art education and supplies. In this way we know that the funds will be used where they are needed most.
ADAS has been able to award grants of $5,000 to $10,000 each year since 1995.
